Farida has acted with the biggest stars of Hindi cinema including Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, and Akshay Kumar. In addition to being a successful film star, she has also been a prolific voice artist for Hindi dubbing since 1976.

She has won the prestigious Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award for her role as Lajjo Singh (Kajol’s mother) in the movie “Dil Wale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge” which was released in 1995.
